Dear Neighbour --
I’m so proud to live in our wonderful community of Mississauga!
Growing up in Canada I had the opportunity to fulfill many Dreams that we all have for our Families. I attended Public School and University, started a successful business, represented Canada in the 1996 Olympic Games Marathon and am raising a family.
You, your parents or ancestors may have come from another place in the World. Just like your family or descendants, my parents and I came to Canada as immigrants from a small town, in Portugal (Western Europe), to provide a better life for our family nearly fifty years ago.
It’s been an honour to represent you as your Member of Parliament for our electoral area of Mississauga East-Cooksville. One of the greatest feelings I have is meeting you at your home to discuss what’s important to you and your family.
I’m very proud to come from a family that had immigrated to Canada from Europe. My parents had always said how important it is to work hard, respect others, and give back to the community.
Being the eldest in our family, I had quickly learned the importance of responsibility and accountability, while looking out for Family and Community.
I’ve had the opportunity to volunteer and work with disabled children through the Special Olympics and have actively taken part in youth at risk programs. I have also helped raise funds for the Mississauga Trillium Hospital, have been involved with numerous Seniors programs and the Mississauga Food Bank.
In Ottawa I have been a strong voice on important issues like jobs, the economy, environment, families and seniors. With your help and support, I would like to continue to work on your priorities.
Please feel free to reach out to me. Again, it has been an honour serving you, I am asking for your support to vote Peter Fonseca on ELECTION DAY, Monday October 21st, 2019.
